Don’t Fret the Sweat Unilever Deodorant Blog Tour

I was given the opportunity by MomCentral.com for my daughter to try out one of the new Dove Deodorants to help promote healthy hygiene and ease her into those years when she has to start using deodorant.   First,  a little background on the Dove Don’t Fret the Sweat campaign directly from their website:

“Your child is going through changes and, whether or not you’re ready, their body is trying to tell you something. Increased hormones are causing noticeable differences now, like growth spurts and strange new odors. But don’t let the unexpected stink scare you; it’s just a sign of great things to come.  To better understand all the physical and emotional changes your child is facing, we’ve assembled an amazing team of professionals. As mothers, leaders and writers, these experts are here to offer advice and help you get a handle on the mysterious world of tweens. It’s important to know that fostering their self-reliance now, will benefit them for the rest of their lives.  Help your kid face these new opportunities with confidence. The first step is showing them that the right deodorant will free them from odor, embarrassment and discomfort.”

You can find great advice and also some wonderful money saving coupons!  Whats better than a great product at great savings?!

As a mom of four children, we have definitely had to deal with that dreaded time when your child walks up to you and it is blantantly clear that its time to have a talk about good hygiene.  Its embarrassing and confusing for children to learn all they need to know about keeping their bodies clean and smelling fresh as they mature.  Dove is trying get a leg up on this by promoting strong communication betweens parents and their tweens.

Some deodorants can be harse and may promote rashes and even make your child smell worse instead of better!  Their skin can be sensitive since they aren’t used to wearing deodorant and we want to make sure it doesn’t cause a breakout.  When my daughter tried out the new Dove product, she not only smelled much fresher, but she seemed to have much more confidence (and she felt like a grown up!)

Unilever also makes brands in addition to Dove products, such as Suave and Degree.  They have a wide range of products and scents, so you are sure to find one for your tween and yourself!

I definitely suggest trying out one of the vast Unilever products and make sure to check out the Don’t Fret The Sweat website for valuable information!

“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Unilever and received the items necessary to facilitate my review. In addition, Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
